Unfortunately our first experience with Golden Roast was not good at all. There wasn't enough food for our guests and we had paid for more people than what turned up so there should have been plenty of food! We were embarrassed that guest told us they didn't get any meat. The meat on our occassion was overcooked and the presentation was something out of the 70's. The salads came from Woolies and were served out of their plastic packaging.
When we raised our concerns with Golden Roast, we were told that there was no way they could have run out of food basically ignoring my feedback. Really disappointing so we can't recommend this to anyone on the Central Coast who is looking for catering.
Golden Roast Newcastle catered our staff party, they got there early, set up, helped us set up our stuff too (just because they were lovely, not part of the deal...) and then cooked and served some awesome food. If you want a caterer that cooks good food, but also has fun staff that go the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and add to the happy atmosphere of your party, give these guys a call. We all agreed to do it again next year instead of going to a boring restaurant, such a cool idea! Thanks heaps Mark and the Golden Roast gang. Ps. They can do gluten free etc if you have annoying people (ha ha we did) who can't eat Gluten.
