Been in Sydney just under a year and tried 2 of the 'best' and most expensive salons in the Sydney. Less than impressed with both, so thought i'd try a more local salon to see. OMG, am i glad I did!! Eva at Coco de Luma is an absolute wizz, an boy am i difficult to please. She's patient, listens, knows her stuff and knows how to give you what you ask for. But on top of that its the little things that make a difference - the attention to detail She wipes color away from your skin immediately, she makes sure the water is cooler for your hair wash if you've had a lot of processing. She asks if its ok to use styling products on your hair. She brings you a glass of cold water with your coffee. Its all those little things that make a difference as a client, as well as being an amazing hairdresser. I won't be going anywhere else now - love CCdL! Its the best in Sydney!!! :)
Moved to the area over a month ago and needed to find a new hairdresser. I was scared at first as I have had the same girl do my hair for over 10 years.
I googled hair salons in Maroubra and Coco De Luma was the first one that caught my eye. So I decided to give it a go.
i got my hair coloured and cut by Greg, who I found out was the manager. He done such a great job and I was more than happy with my hair, such a relief.

It took me a long time to choose a hair salon to go to, as i am from over seas i was very nervous about where to go and trusting someone will do a good job.
I looked at the reviews for coco de luma and the majority were positive so i booked with them in december just before christmas.
Firstly i was extremely grateful that they could fit me in for a colour and cut on the saturday before christmas. Everyone was extremely welcoming as soon as i got there and i was offered drinks straight away. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the salon which i really enjoyed. I had Katherine do my hair and she was lovely, so friendly and chatty, she did the best foils i've ever had done and i've been having my hair colour for over 7 years. she did them so close to the roots and the exact colour i wanted. ...read more
Saw their AD in the paper that said they had won Hairdresser of the year, so i thought i'd try them out, being new to the area and all.
Great decor, beautiful staff, seriously they all looked so pretty!! Made me feel confident they could make me look better too, which they did! Got a keratin done, and am totally loving it. Thanks Greg!!!
