I have to say that Adelaide water has a bit of a taste, so when I asked some colleagues where I could get a good cup of tea in the morning (because they all told me not to go to Hudsons) they all recommended this place. I have to say that the recommendations were well worth it. In fact I am surprised that I never noticed this place back in the days when I lived in Adelaide (since it existed back then), but then again back in those days I never had a morning cup of tea (thanks to the water). Anyway, this is one of those hip and trendy places to have a morning coffee, though it has been around because the hip movement hit Adelaide (while I was in Melbourne of course). I have to say that it is definitely a place to grab your morning coffee!
Neat little place on Leigh street for a hot drink or snack to go. When I say little I do really mean little though. It's quite tight inside but they do have seating outdoors. It gets especially busy in the mornings and also when From Scratch Patisserie are there selling their pastries outside on Fridays to combine a coffee/pastry combo deal. Friendly service and staff, decent prices.
The worst cafe service ever - shocking. I entered the cafe with a friend. There were 2 or 3 people waiting, so I checked with them if they were waiting to order, but they weren't. We walked over to the coffee bar, where a couple of people were waiting, so I looked at the bar to check if they're waiting or not - AND - the staff, without a word of greeting, started a slow waving motion, back and forth in front of my face, to wave me to the back of the store (obviously the end of the line). I said to them ''Yes, I can see, you don't have to wave''. They gave me a dirty look and I told them ''I think you're very rude''. I turned to my friend & said ''You can order, but I'm going to get coffee somewhere else''. As I started walking out, they called out ''Leave our store and never come back!' A nasty experience all round. Enter this cafe at your own risk.
Great Vibe, Real Cool Coffee" Location, Leigh St. Stands a very trendy cafe. The place is light bright modern. With a good range of would you believe, racing cycle's on the wall inside for sale. Outside seating with touring bikes parked among the customers, while they relax and enjoy their coffee. This cafe is busy, but we found the service excellent, had the feeling of being among friends. The Five Senses coffee is right up there with the best. The ham off the Bone/Swiss Cheese, plus fresh tomato, on organic Sour Dough $5.00 How about that for value. Will return.
