The word institution often gets thrown around a little lightly but in the case of iconic Espresso Bar Coffee Tea or Me it's a moniker that fits. The coffee is the best in Toowoomba and the staff are friendly with a great sense of humour, books, photo's line the walls giving the place a great boho feel, a perfect fit for its relaxed vibe.

Although Im not a Toowoomba local, I have lived here some seven years now so I am filled with shame to admit that until last week I had never been to Coffee Tea or Me. Having said that, Ive managed two visits in the past week so surely that makes up for something. This Toowoomba institution has been giving the locals there coffee fix for years now; people flock to this classic Italian espresso bar for the city's best coffee. Set in a long narrow space, the prime positions are at the bar with extra stool seating flanked by 100 year old mirrors from the ballroom of a famous shipwreck.

Yes it is very crowded, but the coffee is beautiful the service swift and the boss and staff very entertaining!

My wife and I moved to Toowoomba from Melbourne because of my work with the local Uni. For true connoisseurs of the bean, you cant go past Toowoomba's famous espresso bar Coffee Tea or Me!!!! This place is your tiny temple, offering some of the best coffee in Australia. Coffee Tea or Me is an espresso bar not a cafe so there is no food, there is a small range of excellent Byron Bay Cookies, but the coffee is the highlight, the lowlight, and the be all and end all - in short, the reason for being. The baristas are self-confessed obsessive-compulsive perfectionists. The coffee has won a swag of gold medals both here in Australia and in New Zealand and is roasted fresh everyday, the customers are relaxed, and the staff have a wicked sense of humour its a great european style espresso bar so soak up the jazz music and the smell of roasting beans and enjoy the experience, this place is up there with the best of the best and would give any espresso bar in New York, ...read more

Toowoomb'a famous espresso bar Coffee Tea or Me is awsum it has most definatly the city's best coffee all double shots. It is clear the staff love there job they are the best you will ever find. Great atmosphere, allways a crowd coming or going I rate this place a 10 out of 10 check it out.

The last film a friend recommended on the basis that "it's so you" was a somewhat misleadingly titled work of arthouse cinema about pedophilia, masturbation and the general misery of existence. Cafe suggestions from friends tend to be even wider of the mark, then a friend said, of Coffee, Tea or Me "You would love it".



I wish it were mine, Toowoomba has come of age with an espresso bar to rival those in New York and Melbourne. ...read more
