passionfruit sorbet is very tart even for me who prefers less sweet sickly icecream/sorbet. i love their coconut ice cream its pink so not sure what makes it that color since coconuts are not pink, does not have coconut texture to it but it does tsate like coconut. small tub of ice-cream/sorbet is $6, enough for one person. also had mango ice cream which did not taste at all like mango and raspberry sorbet. crushed extra add ins are $1 even when you are only getting a bite sized piece of cherry ripe for example
the prices are pretty steep, but i do love the coconut icecream with cheery ripe add ins and i am not a big icecream fan, on hot days at after school times they are chockers and you have to wait. ice cream cakes are very in display cabinet uninspiring and not at all tasty. go for special occasions or if have a 2 4 1 voucher
This is an interesting take on the traditional ice-cream parlour. As well as scoop ice-cream and gelato, they offer a range of lollies and toppings (''mix-ins''), which can be blended into your ice-cream as you watch, using a refrigerated board (''cold rock''). New and exciting as this is, it has several drawbacks: the prices are ridiculously high, and the waiting times can be immense, as they usually have only one staff member behind the counter - albeit a friendly one. The ice cream is fairly uninspired without any mix-ins, but crumbled up brownie will make anything delicious. While I will only come back if I have a two-for-one voucher, I recommend Cold Rock as a great treat for those who have the time and money.
