Went to Coles today asked for pomergranate juice from the lady at the help desk she checked the nearest aisle and said it was not there.I am 85 and was tired so asked whether she could checkthe computer to see if it was available she told me they have no information on their computer. She suggested I go to Aisle 10 and check it out .I told her i was too tired to do this .This shows the lack of service as well as the incompetence of their computers.YOu would expect better programmes in the 21st century .Coles has not moved from the 15th century.They will loose customers if this continues also considering their reputation and the number of cases against them by ACCC.This type of cavalier attitude towards the elderly does not fobode well for Coles. Not all elderly are brain dead.
Lol, just so u know, the staff are supposed to be on the counter, and their computors are for scanning not for searching quanities of items. And if your smart enough, they can't know how much drinks and items are left. So Stop being lazy and actually be a real customer!!!
This store has not long been renovated, and so is still clean and well laid out. Some of their 'managers specials' can be fantastic, have picked up some bargains there. When I've asked staff where items are I've had mixed success, from vacant stares to staff who take me to what I'm looking for. Self service checkout is great & always quick when I've been there.
The service is slow, the shelves are empty, the pricetags are out-of-date and will cause you hassles at the register. On a positive, no one goes here, so it's not as busy as Leichhardt, for example.
I've been going there for 13 years. The staff used to be all very nice, the prices were good. Now the majority of the staff look sullen, never make eye contact, never say 'how are you' (yes I know it's corny but it's better than looking somewhere else and staying that way) but the prices are still good and if there is something missing on the shelves it's easy to ask and get what you want so I still go there. Woolworths I loathe, it's too expensive.
