Coles Supermarkets

As a supplier of food, they're probably great, but if you want a straw with your cold drink, go elsewhere. I haven't been to another major supermarket that is too cheap to bust open a 99 cent packet of straws for their customers. As a consequence, surrounding stores have had to hide their straws because they don't want to subsidise the multimillion dollar supermarket next door, so I had to endure a bit of hostility there. Shame the major supermarket has turned this area into a full blown straw war zone; I think they're worth 1 or 2 cents per straw. I ended up refunding the drink because I couldn't drink it without a straw. Just a terrible and unnecessary ordeal. Condolences to the locals.
