Coles Supermarkets

I purchased some 'fresh' salmon, from Cole's seafood, enough to feed 25 people, it was expensive, $146. The woman who served me was rude and didn't do what I asked of her - I needed to see the fish in order to gauge the amount I needed, I was unsure of the exact weight, I thought around 2&3/4 to 3 kgs. It was going into a Coulibiac pie, for a flash birthday party in Sydney. She just flopped it all in a plastic bag and refused to lay it out for me to see, then commented to the customer next to me, belittling me for my request.
When I got it home (<15 mins later, I live opposite Cole's) I put it carefully into a large clean container to gauge whether it would be adequate. After having to return 3 lots of seafood "ready to cook" packs, 2 steaks and a pack of mouldy cheese - 2 months prior to its use by date, all of which have been individual times, I have now decided NEVER to shop for perishables here. I had to go to the trouble to return these items (30-35kilometre round trip) only to receive a phone call nearly 2 months ago to say there were looking into the continuing problem of these items. Never heard another word, got a replacement at the store but no apology NOTHING. This store is often dirty, famous for its "fines" in the deli section. I now go to Woolworths in Leura - its fresh, clean have always got plenty of staff on the checkouts. Shame on you Coles, you should also be looking at the state of your toilets, nothing short of a back street hovel.
