Your sour dough bread in Australia has a sign stating
“please handle the bread by the paper wrapper” Obviously this only applies to the public only because I asked for a loaf to be sliced the attendant took off the paper wrapper and handled the bread with her hands putting it into the slicer then picking it up to put in the wrapper.
I purchased the bread but disposed of it when I arrived home. Obviously will not be purchasing again from Coles. It also happened at your Brisbane road store.
Really think the health department should take a look at your hygiene standards.
As an employee from another Coles store I must say I had the worst service experience I've ever had here at Coles Southport. I asked an older lady (didn't get her name) who was stocking the freezer section if she would open a carton (Coles brand pizza, because I wanted to know if I would need to buy extra toppings) for me and not only did she refuse (Coles policy as I understand it states that this is a reasonable request and should be granted) she was abrupt, rude, and condescending.
You can be sure I will be shopping elsewhere for the rest of my stay on the Gold Coast.
Disgusting customer service, rude staff. We loaded our full trolley onto the checkout only to have the staff member go home upon our turn to be served. He was then replaced by a horribly rude front end staff member called Natalie. She told us " you should have gone to counter 2" and I said "but there was a staff member here" and she said "yeah you should have gone to counter 2" even though there was no sign to say the boy before her was closing and he didn't say anything to us as we loaded our shopping up. Natalie handled our shopping really roughly and we got home with damaged goods.
Great weekly specials to keep in touch with their slogan of prices are down. Definitely agree the service is very friendly and welcoming and for a quite busy shopping centre that Australia Fair is, the shopping atmospher at Coles is pleasant. Well stocked shelves and fresh produce, meat and delicatessen.
