College Square On Swanston

To all international students who are wanting to move to College Square so they can study at Melbourne University, please AVOID! You will ruin your Australian experience, and waste your money.

This place is terrible, and absolute c**p! Not only do you have to fork out an excessive amount of money to live here, their services are ridiculous. Staff members are always rude and unhelpful. They seem to only be concerned with money. There was a time I had to actually wait 3 months to have my fridge replaced. Only for it to be broken again after a few months which then I waited a few weeks again for it to be repaired. The relations specialist is rude and condescending for their job. They doesn't know how to show basic respect to students. And I can only honestly tell you after 2 years, giving them any form of feedback is fruitless because nothing changes. I only continued staying here because it was close to university. There was even once I had a few enquiries about having a guest stay over for a period of 1.5 months only to get the most rudest and threatening email back telling me that if I don't comply to their orders, they would take action by deactivating ...read more

The location is really convenient but the administrative staff is so rude and they do not really care about students they care about money. Firts, My toilet was not working since I moved in and they never fix it, excuses and excuses were the only answers that I received. Second, I have never seem a light from my fridge however I need to pay it when I moved out because I did not report it, how I going to know that there is a light if I have never seem it; it is totally unfair. Third, inspections when you live here. They like to inspect your place to check that everything at the flat is all right; I don't have a problem with that however the staff arrive to the inspection 1 hour later. when you are in exams time is gold.To conclude, If you want to live here please check that your place is in well conditions otherwise they are not going to help you. The staff is so rude specially administration. So be careful. Bad experience terrible horrible

Reception staff are the most rude and least empathetic people I know. Were very condescending. Never had any problems here but the staff just ruined my experience and I am never living here. Can't wait to be done with them. Cannot believe they could be so rude to tenants who pay their rent ahead every month and have always been neat and tidy. I will be sure to tell fellow students never ever to live here. I don't understand why they continue to act in this way.

Rude staffs. Let me tell you something: one day during exam period i was in the lounge, which is supposed to be a chill area. I was studying and it was kinda late. This security guard suddenly came and asked me and everyone else to take our laptop charger off , does not allow us to use the electricity in the lounge. It was my first time hearing this statement. What kind of lounge is that that we can't even charge our laptop. Other security guards or staff have never had any problem with it. Ridiculous.
