There's no place like itThe café at Colleges Crossing is recognised as one of the best alfresco family cafes on the Brisbane River. Located in the heart of the Colleges Crossing Recreation Reserve - Colleges by the River has a laid-back charm and is famous for its all day breakfasts and has a well deserved reputation for its coffee - with a huge variety of coffee flavours and friendly baristas. Hand crafted iced coffees and iced teas are a specialty. This idyllic reach of the Brisbane River is a perfect place to relax with the whole family. Plenty of parking and playgrounds. Well worth a drive. Open 7 days.
Terrible service. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes, 3 employees saw us, ignored us and walked past us twice without acknowledging us. And then the employees started to close down the shop (including service door in our face) still without acknowledging us. Absolutely disgusted.
Now here's a really 'credible' scenario to consider. A small local business - trading in the current difficult economic climate - totally ignores paying customers. Two senior staff ditch decades of experience in a devious ploy to upset customers. Yeah right! If anyone should be disgusted it's our great staff who are subject to a repulsive 'review' that deliberately sets out to publicly demean them and the locally owned cafe where they work. Check out Colleges by the River - on the Brisbane River, and make up your own mind. The family friendly, dog friendly cafe is open 7 days a week. It IS worth a drive! It doesn't deserve a one-star rating - nor do our staff!!
