Collie Adult Day Centre is funded by the state and Commonwealth Government through the HACC (Home and Community Care) program. We offer services to any person who is living in their own homes (not residential care) and need support with everyday living tasks. Services include Centre Based Day Care, Social Support, Transport to and from the Centre as well as to health appointments to Bunbury and Respite. Activities include outings, planned activities at the centre, swimming group, mens group, ceramics, crafts, woodworking and much more. Our aim is to keep people living in their own homes for longer without having to go into residential care prematurely by supporting them to be independent, gaining new skills and keeping in touch with Community and friends. This can be an opportunity for carers to have some respite during the day by having a place for their loved ones to come and do something meaningful and having fun doing so. Our Centre is also preparing to put in place a Dementia Specific Program for those clients and carer/families living with this very challenging disease.
