I'd been intending on checking the place out for quite a while though I rarely seem to find myself down in the Paris end of Collins Street, Anyway, this place did surprise me a bit since it happens to be in one of the few remaining terrace houses in the CBD. The bar itself is more a cocktail bar, though you can still get some decent beers, including craft beers, here. While it isn't the type of place that I would visit on a regular basis, particularly since it is in a part of the CBD that I rarely visit, I doubt I would be back here anytime soon, however it is a nice bar, and is a little deceptive as well, namely because while looking small on the outside, it actually stretches out to a beer garden, and another bar behind that. There are also a couple of nice crannies here as well if you are looking for some privacy.
worthy find for such a short entrace its easy to walk by without a second thought. would recommend one of the private booths for after work drinks, or the beer garden if you are feeling social. roaring fire inside that gets you stripping off the layers! lovely bar team.
After work dinner with my colleagues we were booked in at Collins Quarter. In the heart of Melbourne CBD so it was easy to get to and find. Average menu but great atmosphere. Very lively on a Friday as i guess people were there after work for drinks and dinner as well. I ordered the chicken and mash, very much enjoyed my mash as it was full of flavour and soft and melted in the mouth. For dessert i had the creme brulei, wasn't the best but still good to have after a nice meal. We stayed a bit longer after we finished our meals to enjoy the great atmosphere and just chit chatting.
