Colonial Fruit Co in Forest Hill's service leaves a lot to be desired. Staff in deli area sceamed at customer because the customer dared to query the amount of fat in ham purchase.

Conveniently located in Forest Hill Chase amongst the other food related shops. Quality fruit and veg which is sometimes expensive, but if you buy seasonally, there are some great specials too (they seem to always have sweet potatoes at the most competitive prices). Well laid out shop and not just selling fruit and veg, but nice gourmet products, nuts, breads, yogurt, deli items, etc. Service is always polite and efficient.

Colonial fruit company has the best ever fruit shops in Melbourne !!! I shopped in Colonial Forest Hill, Malvern, Doncaster and Chadstone and I must say that they have always fresh fruit, vegetables, best deli products and huge selection of fresh herbs and much more.

Terrible. Spoke to some staff on the phone who sounded unenthusiastic, and spoke in a monotone. Wanted to make a large purchase and was going through every avenue of making the payment however staff cut me off said, we don't take card over the phone and i cant help you. When your management asks the question 'why is my business failing?', experiences like this is why. if you don't want the money, someone else will happily take it

bit disappinited in service here a bit recently 1. they are no longer stocking nicoise bread anymore suddenly without warning and explanation when i enquired a few times? now stock "convent" bread instead which is no where near as tasty and does not stay fresh very long. 2. also last 3 tomes i have bought fresh garlic it has been mouldy, and when i told staffs at checkout they said would pass it on, but didn't sound very convincing. love the cheap passionfruits in stock at the moment (dont know why they are so expensive most other places) and their large variety of more unusual and hard to get fresh/dried herbs, spices and vegetables.
