Color Bar

Absolutely the worst hairdressing experience ever. I agree with all the negative reviews on here, and my experience echoed that of Jaqkun. I went in on a Saturday, my appt pre-booked, it was clear that they were understaffed, and I waited a whole hour from 12pm - 1pm to get even seen! One management staff was rude and seemed to have "attitude", she didn't apologise for the lengthy delays. I only went in to get a simple cut and a half head of foils. She charged me an extra $25 for the length of my hair, despite already being quoted over the phone for the cost. Unethical, because I had already been quoted a sum. In the end I got seen at 1pm, didn't leave until 6pm (closing). Luckily I had cancelled my plans to meet friends earlier! They were so so so slow. It was unbearable. My colour did not even turn out good, it didn't match my ends. It was just the worst. Never ever bother with this place.

Been going to this salon for years,now trading as The cut and colour company.. sadly it has gone down hill.My hair usually takes 2-3 hrs, Now it takes 4hrs pulse. A management staff there is never happy and is quite rude to the other staff members..no wonder they are always looking for staff.. The only person that is pleasant to see is the apprentice staff, who seems to be there the longest..and is very good.. It was sad to see the boys gone too.. I
Will never go back there again as a senior stylist also lack experience..

Commendation to Dan at Chermside Colour Bar

Senior hairdresser Daniel at Chermside Colour Bar is an awesome hairdresser and I highly recommend him. I recently stuffed up my long lightened hair with a home packet of "Do it yourself" lightener and the end result was not good, my hair was yellow with patches of gold and black through it. I was absolutely devastated to the point of tears, so I raced down to Colour bar, Dan was there and was so friendly, calming and reassuring that he could fix my hair.

I recently had my colour done at Color Bar Chermside. All the staff were lovely & friendly. The price seemed quite reasonable for a full colour (ombre) & complementary cut & blow dry. The colour turned out a little darker then I expected, so they said to come back in a few days. I went back and they completely re-did my hair with complete grace and an apology. I was so happy with the end result! I would highly recommend Color Bar!
