I happened upon an online listing for a small car at an excellent price, so I attended the dealership on Monday with a view to buying the car. The sales staff - indicated that as the car had just come on to the lot I couldn't test drive it until it had been serviced and detailed, and I wouldn't be able to buy it until Thursday. On Thursday they would drive it to the City for me to test drive and buy the car. They made this promise in writing too, and the promise indicated that their boss had also agreed to hold the car to Thursday. On Thursday morning, I receive a call from the sales staff saying that someone else had walked in and bought the car the day before. Be cautious with any promises made by this sales staff and this dealership.
