Commune Espresso

Only been here for breakfast but every time has been amazing. First time I was put off by how busy it was and the line up at the counter (as I was starving!), but the food comes out quickly. Great quality, fresh food, funky layout and affordable.

Great coffee, which is hard to find on the coast. I had Blueberry Pancake with Coconut Ice Cream and it was good. Not as sweet as I hoped, but it tasted healthy and sweet enough it didn't make me feel ill at the end of it! We went there brunch-time on Saturday but didn't wait long at all and the service was fine. Will go back there to try their other menu!

I met up with four friends here for a catchup, lunch & a coffee. First impressions of the commune were great. Heaps of awesome posters completely plastered over the walls looks great. The salads & Turkish bread in the cabinet looked delicious. I ordered one of the specials, pulled pork with a bbq sauce, on toasted bread with coleslaw for $17. I must say the pulled pork tasted amazing, & the coleslaw was really fresh. But it was kind of a hodgepodge- pork, coleslaw, & bread with a poached egg on top also. Weird.
Once we ordered & sat down, a staff member turned the music up so loud we could hardly hear each other talk. Other people in the cafe were annoyed also.
