Diners can be treated to the fine skills and services of Grant and Rachel when seated in the warm and friendly environment of Restaurant Como. Opened in early 2004 and awarded the Chef’s Hat in the 2008 Good Food Guide, Chef Grant is able to present the mouthwatering Australian cuisine with creativity and style. Included in the menu is the Mirrool creek lamb, lamb neck cigar, yam fondant, pearl barley and gremolata butter. The roast fillet of Deep Sea Hapula with vanilla gnocchi, pickled baby carrot, broad beans and chorizo is given an added tang with citrus essence. A kids menu is also included. Bookings are recommended for lunch and dinner and monthly degustation events with a set menu and wines to match. For decorated parties and corporate functions, bookings are necessary.

Since my last review, I have re-visited this restaurant. While the location is not ideal, i have to say the food is consistently amazing. Also the service they offer is very friendly and unpretentious. The scallops and pork hock were absolutely sublime. Have to say this is probably the best place I have eaten in the mountains.
The food at the Como is beautiful and it has the service to match. The only issue I have with this restaurant is its location and atmosphere. This really impacts the overall experience. Not sure why they are located at the back of a shopping centre with no mountain views. Also it feels like you are stuck in a little room and the decor is not fitting to the food quality and price. With so many great location choices in the Blue Mountains not really sure why they chose where they are located.
