Clean, crisp looking seafood shop on Majors Bay Road offering the usual fare of fish and chips, fisherman's value packs, salads and the odd burger. We got a few potato scallops to go. At $1.20 each, they were perfectly crunchy with a nice ratio of batter to potato. Quick and friendly service.
Yum I love the fresh fish here! My partner and I come here once a week and order grilled fish. Its seasoned really well and the staff are always so friendly. The service is very fast too and we never wait too long for our order.
But did you see the poor mud crabs tied up just inside the door with no water to keep them cool
They were very stressed
The food is really tasty, no arguments, but value? I have been patronizing Concord Seafood for years, but it is simply getting out of control. To get take away fish and chips for the whole family is upwards of $60/70 - for fish and chips and maybe some calamari?
The calamari is delicious, but $14 for the calamari pack which is just 9 rings and chips... squid tubes are about $8 a kilo retail and what do potatoes cost?
My wife and I went there for a light snack, we split a fish and chips and got 6 calamari rings, and it was something like $26. One fish fillet, some chips and 6 calamari rings.
There is simply no value in it, it has to be a once in a while treat, in which case I may as well go to a sit down restaurant.
Again, the staff are friendly, and the food is tasty; but it is absolutely overpriced.
I really like this place and like the food and service. had a problem and thought I lost my phone here and the management were very helpful and even offered to look on the security cameras to help. I like the potato scallops too, like another commented - ok I feel hungry now ;)
