Concrete Jungle Cafe
Closed until Saturday
7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Great place hidden in amounts the concrete buildings of the city. When we arrived there was a wait, it wasn’t so bad and the staff were friendly and very accommodating, however I can imagine with its popularity that the wait time will be over 10minutes on a regular weekend. The food was great. We had the hot cake and nourish bowl. Both were as expected, delicious! I am not normally a hot cake/pancake kinda person but thought I would give this one a go. Due to it being made with ricotta the pancake was light and moist, not dense like some can be. The nourish bowl did just what it advertised, left you feeling nourished and healthy. Both meals were very tasty.
A cool name and very apt for its location in Kensington St, Chippendale, where It surrounded by concrete pylons and towering apartment buildings. Industrial design with a huge artwork of a lions head with an urban mane made up of skyscrapers depicticting the name of the cafe 'Concrete Jungle'.
We arrived early on a weekday, very lucky I believe, for it is extremely busy of a weekend with all the hype following their beautiful “blue majic” dish that is going viral on Instagram.
