My dining experience at this place was perhaps the worst ever in my 62 years on the planet. I went there with my wife on the Monday morning of the last Queen's Birthday holiday long weekend.It was the day after my birthday and we thought we'd have a little celebration by ourselves. We got there at about 10:30 a.M. And the restaurant was about half full.We hailed a blonde waitress who was really good looking but, alas, she was probably an "F" level in her hospitality skills. She was uppity and snooty and when I asked her for some recommendations on the food, she didn't appear to think that anything on the menu was much chop. So I ordered a coffee, my wife ordered a juice and we both ordered eggs Benedict. Connors Cafe offer all day breakfast which is great. I ordered the avocado on Vienna with chorizo & poached eggs, topped with an amazing lime, coriander & ginger sauce. Their hot chips with aioli is really yummy on a winters day too. I enjoyed my half-strength flat white & the service here is good too. Sit outside under the big black & white striped awnings or inside, there's tables & booths.
Don't think much of this place and I'm pretty easy to please. Rude staff, cold and unappetizing food. When I asked if I could have my order replaced, was told "If you don't like it, you can go elsewhere". So much for customer service. Won't be back and will let all know that if you want decent food and service then this is not the place to go. Had heard from others that it was good but either I went there on a bad day, change of management or my expectations were too high which I don't think they were.
Best breaky experience on the gold coast. Always worth the travel! my family's choice for birthday breakfast get togethers! food is always delicious and fresh, I always get the potato rosti stack- never disappoints! great coffee and selection of delicious meals. Service is good, especially considering how busy it can get during the weekend - despite what other reviews have said, i have never had any problems with the service or the time it takes to receive meals. I look forward to visiting Connors again soon :)
