Avoid this firm: the conveyancer I dealt with made far too many mistakes to be a legitimate legal eagle. Poor communication (no update on receipt of job), did not provide relevant instruction ( Form D2 had to be delivered in person but no mention at all during phone conversations) and to top it all: claimed that she did not receive my email when others cc-ed received it. Lacked integrity and follow through: important requisites when you're dealing with the law!
Hi Home Sweet Home. Can you provide any reference details for this matter so I can look into your issue. Without knowing an address on refeence I cannot locate a file.
Furhter to your comp[laint, i note your issues are that there were no updates on receipt of the job. The office policy is to call all cliet to advise we have the contract, and then to post substantial correspondence to the client confirming we are acting. I note you have referenced receipt of an Office Of State Rvenue docuement (D2 Form) which comes iith all initial correspondence. I am confused as to how then, you believe yyou did not receive communication advising we were acting for you. In addition, the D2 form you refere tois for Stamp Duty Purposes. In all initial correspondence to our clients we make it very clear that the original forms must be returned and that copies are not acceptable. I am happy to look further into the matter on your behalf though. Please provide any refence material.
These were 2 separate occasions. No contact was made with us until we called the firm ourselves. After receiving Form D2, there was no communication it was required in person until too late. I have copies of correspondence etc to evidence lack of follow through but to me, it is too late to erase an unpleasant experience.
