Cooks Corner Cafe And Foodstore

We visited Cooks corner for a last minute lunch. Desperate to find anywhere in the hills that could serve a decent, fresh lunch that was not catered for passing / one off trade. Needless to say it was disappointing, the chips were ok but masked with rosemary. The two dishes looked ok but we soon realised that everything on my wife’s plate was re-heated. The poached eggs were rubbery, the corn fritters were stodgy, the bacon was definitely heated up as there was no smell of bacon cooking prior.
When you’re paying $45 for lunch for two with no coffee or drinks at all, you’d expect better quality.
No options for kids.
This could be a really good food destination.

Very nice food in a beautiful location. Must say this was the best feature. The service was slow, unfriendly and we generally felt like we were a hassle to the couple who run the place. Not a child friendly place.
