Okay, while I had a number of pubs on my list, this one unfortunately didn’t appear on it, so I simply accidentally found it as I was wandering along Darling Street. Actually, this technically isn’t a pub namely because it has later opening hours, but it certainly does have a pretty hip atmosphere. Actually, the name really sums it up really well because it is your typical hole in the wall, corner bar – unpretentious, quiet, and a great place for a beer. Mind you their selection isn’t all that large, but then again this is not so much a beer bar but just basically a bar (probably more a cocktail bar than anything else). Still, this place does have some charm about it, even if the outdoor tables are a little too small. Personally, I’d come back here, especially since it has more charm that your local pub.
This place is great by day or night. A lazy weekend brunch or an evening wine and some bites with mates. Great tunes, a casual atmosphere, eclectic bric-a-brac throughout and good service makes this a regular haunt. For brunch, I cannot go past the Breakfast Benny. For the evening, try the pulled pork nachos or pizza, and a pint of chips is a must! #reviewtowin
