Cafes
Courtyard Cafe
I would call this place one of those captive cafes – namely that you have no choice but to go there because you happen to be visiting the place that this happens to the the annex, but in reality when you visit the Queensland Museum (of which this place is the adjacent cafe) you don't have to go here, it is just convenient. Mind you I have visited some pretty impressive cafes in my time and this isn't one of them. It seems that it is one of those rather dull cafes that many of the museums and art galleries used to hide away in their back corners before they underwent a rapid transformation. It seems as if these transformations forgot all about little old Queensland. I can't say that I was to thrilled about this place, the chips were average, the chicken dry, and the food just a little overpriced. The are probably better places to have you lunch (or even just bring your own).
