All seemed to go well with Craftwork who were renovating my offices until the very last stage. At this point, I paid 95% of the total quote to the builder, at their suggestion, to withhold $500 till he completed the remaining tasks. Then we arranged for them to come to do these things - they didn't, and then wouldn't return phonecalls for a week. They sent a fax in which they claimed now that I owed them more money for pulling up my carpets (although I had already paid $600 more than the original quote!).The worst aspect was that they wouldn't talk to me - so we couldn't sort things out by talking. In effect they just walked off the job. My impression was they were annoyed because I turned down quotes to do some extra work. Not impressed,but the work that was done was fine.
