Great little bar / restaurant in an area where there aren't a lot of options when it comes to drinking! Have only been on Friday nights but it is always busy and buzzy - with a great atmosphere. Happy hour drinks (which I think run from 5-7pm) are combined with happy hour food - fantastic $10 pizzas as well as other great snacks. And on Thurs/Fri evenings they usually have a couple of great live musicians playing in the background. Highly recommended as a drinking spot if you don't feel like doing the big pub thing. Plus you can move on to eat in the restaurant (which I've been told is also great value) or pop to one of the great restaurants nearby for Thai, Italian or Belgian.
I recently dined her for a family dinner. I was quite impressed by the $33 per head for a 3 course meal deal - you'd expect to pay that much for a main meal at most places! While the quantities were on the small side, they were quite satisfying. It was all very gourmet. I even attempted a snail- not bad at all!
The staff were very friendly and they almost always put down the right meal in front of the right person! However, there were a couple of mistakes with the orders for the entree and main - but this was quickly fixed.
The restaurant layout is very nice aand the fishtank kept my toddler niece highly entertained! There is a carpark across the road, so it's very convenient as well.
Credo's is decent value. It's a somewhat upscale restaurant and bar in the evenings with an occasional lounge singer performance. It's got the TV in the background playing sports, a big fishtank... and the food is good, if not a tad pricey.
On weekends, Credo's isn't as busy as neighbouring cafes (as it lacks a decent outlook and terrace seating), but when it rains it is one of the few places with cover.
All in all it's a good spot. I recommend the steak sandwich for lunch. It's a good size and pretty tender.
This is a fantastic restaurant/cafe/bar for the local area and brings something to Cammeray that you can't find anywhere else. The staff are friendly and accomodating and I have really enjoyed the mod oz menu on the numerous occasions we have eaten there. The live music late in the week provides a great atmosphere in the bar. Would definately recommend and be going back.
