We had new carpet installed about two months ago. To ensure the layers could do the best job possible we had all our furniture removed, including our plantation shutters (at great expense). The carpet is already fraying at the seams in several places. They have tried to divert responsibility by sending out a range of different people who give different reasons for why the carpet is fraying. I have got someone else from Cronulla Carpets coming out again this Friday. Lets hope someone takes responsbility for the problem.
Don't go, NIGHTMARE. Bought a folder-able table floor stock for more than 600 AUD, faulty locking device and worn out damaged metal sockets on the metal frame, asked for repair/replacement the day after purchase. Refused, fair trading intervened. The management staff who was contacted by fair trading didn't contact me, instead sales pretended to arrange a replacement( they have weekly restock every Wednesday), and asked me to bring in the table rather than delivery. No response afterwards.
Really bad experience, expensive than others and very poor customer service.
Very expensive, sales staff was arrogant. I talked them down as the house was new so there wasn't any of the normal rubbish to deal with. But they got the last laugh because the carpet fell apart at the seams and underlay had gaps everywhere.
Are you talking about Cronulla Furniture? or Cronulla Carpets? 2 different businesses
