Cross Keys Hotel

totally agree with the service at cross keys , we had a family birthday party for my son there and while the food was ok , once it arrived at our table after 50mins from ordering. They have a so called kids room which is as big as my toilet but the problem is that it is on the far side of the resturant so the kids have to walk past all of the diners to get to it and then u cant see them until u get up and walk all the way past the other diners to check on them again ,and as kids do they tend to go back and forwards alot well we where told by a waitress that if our kids didnt stay in one area that we would have to leave as they were causing a disturbance to other diners, we thought that this absolutley disgusting seeing that we had just spent over $200 on food and drinks and deserts and that our party had only 3 kids aged 5 7 and 8y.old and they were only walking from the table to the kids room .Why if this was a problem didnt they put us on a table closer to the kids toilet ...read more

We recently had a bad experience at the Cross Key Hotel. We were seated next to a table of six very nice mid-aged couples. We were very surprised to hear that we had to line up to order and pay for our meal. No one informed us of this procedure. You would think at an average of $27 dollar for a main meal you'd get some sort of table service.

We overheard our neighbouring table talking to a staff member regarding the table service and it's procedure in a calmly fashion, when the staff member's tone of voice became loud and very obnoxious, so I merely said to them that we weren't informed either about this procedure. They then replied to myself and my wife to mind our own business. We both were in shock and disbelief and decided to leave. Where has the good old fashion customer service quality gone?
