Crossways Wool & Fabrics

I have shopped there many times. At all timesI have found all staff extremely helpful and their advice has been useful. As a former Tasmanian who has been used to having many wool shops to go to I am eternally grateful that Crossways Wool and Fabrics exist. Sure, I could buy online and maybe save a few bucks, however you can't feel the yarn, match the colours accurately and get some advice. If we don't support local specialty stores, they can't survive and we are all the worst off for it. The range of beautiful yarns is exceptional and the enthusiasm of young Teegan in particular, is infectious, so indulge your creativity and shop at Crossways Wool and Fabrics.

FIVE STARS does not seem enough to adequately thank the ‘absolutely amazing team’ at ‘Crossways Wool & Fabrics’ of Teegan, Lesley and Thea (proprietor) for the fantastic support they provide my wife at her crochet classes and the frequent pop in’s to overcome a difficulty!
They are truly worthy of the highest praise for the genuine passion they show towards their craft, for so freely sharing their knowledge and doing so with unending patience whilst teaching.
Thank you for always displaying these wonderful qualities and making the classes such an enjoyable experience for my wife.
I can say without reservation that the team at CW&F live up to their catch cry and provide quality products, real value and service that is without compare!
Forgot to mention the delicious biscuits during classes!

On my first few visits to the store I was really impressed with the staff. They were really helpful in that they looked at my pattern, assisted with wool selection and even offered to finish off the project for me if I had any problems , at a cost of course. My visit yesterday though left me rather disappointed. One so called assistant was rather curt when I talked to her about my project. I asked her for a particular shade & was told they had no such colour. While browsing I saw quite a few around the store. I'd also informed the assistant I couldn't tolerate mohair or angora. I finally made my purchase and on the way home discovered the wool contained a blend of mohair ! The woman did not even care to inform me of this ! Why would I even bother shopping there again, except to return my purchase! I believe the store is under new management. Why would anyone employ people with such poor skills..... Sorry this is so negative , but unfortunately that's my experience .
