Crowhurst Motors

I put my car in for a service with Crowhurst and was looking to get a belt changed, service and new battery. Was quoted $600-$800 for all of this and a one day turn around. Called them at 4:30 PM the same day and they stated they had not even started working on my car. Next day they called saying it would be $2000 and they had disassembled my car and were fixing other things (without my permission). This process would take an additional three days - which was a major inconvenience.

Once I got my car back they had fixed multiple items I never asked to be touched. After paying the full bill and turning on my car the belt which I had originally gone in for wasn't even fixed. I went to these guys to get a quote to have a log book service done and they refused to give me a price, as they were worried that I would get a better price elsewhere... how can you get business if you are too scared to give quotes?

My wife went in for a roadworthy. they wanted 180 to remove engine to be able to check the engine mounts which are visible and if they were broken would be spewing oil out as they are oil filled. then told us the suspension was broken and needed fixing. Then spent ages before giving car back. Would not recommend as the car was recently serviced by the dealer and no issues found. Now taking car back to dealer for RWC and will not support the local business. At least at a dealer you get treated with some respect and not treated like an idiot.

Great workmanship, I was recommended by a friend to go here. Easy to deal with, open early and late which helped with drop off and pick up to fit in with work. Car is running great, all problems resolved and were explained clearly to me. Thanks, will be back.
