Crown & Sceptre

I haven't been to this place a huge amount, namely because all of the lawyers that tend to congregate here tend to scare me off. Okay, the only reason you would find lawyers here is because it happens to be next to the court, but don't actually let that put you off because as a pub it is still pretty nice. Apparently it had closed down for a while, but when I was back in Adelaide I came here and it was certainly open. I even discovered a pretty nice beer garden out the back (which I believe is relatively new, but as I said I haven't been here a huge amount, especially not recently). There beer selection is fairly average, but as a pub it isn't a bad place for a drink (though it is fairly small).

Crown & Sceptre is a great little place with a large selection of food and beverage. Very nice outdoor area. It's all you could ask for in a pub. I've only ever had two issues here, one is that the customer service is inconsistent and two the crowd that ventures there. Sometimes I get the feeling the crowd that goes to the C & S is one huge clique and if you don't fit in, you can expect some dirty looks. I would also never take my family here.

This is a little Gem, the food was fantastic, the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient, the pub section next door (same establishment) had a good atmosphere for a sunday night in Adelaide, they knew about gluten-free and had choices and it was a good overall experience. There is also an alfresco area, but it was too cold to enjoy.

Crown And Sceptre is one of the best bars in Adelaide that I've been to, its mellow, has great staff and a brilliant cocktail menu.
