Crown Inn Hotel

Kids were almost finished theirs by the time ours came out. Beef pie looked like it had canned mushrooms in it and went back uneaten. Overpriced. Wait staff were good.

Over an hour to get our food. More batter than fish or onion in onion rings. Dried out kids schnitzel with hand full of chips. Smallest serve of salad on earth. Poor menue choice all around it's a sad place to eat. Guts full of grease. Never again.

It was rather funny in that we came up to Reynella and my friend started telling us how the pub here wasn't actually any good. As such my other friend and I were expecting some real dive, but not in the good sense, but rather some pub that you basically want to turn around and walk out as soon as yet step into the door. Well, it turns out that this isn't the case. Okay, I won't say that it is a fantastic hotel, but it isn't a bad place to grab a meal and a drink, especially if you happen to be in Reynella. I grabbed a schnitzel, which wasn't bad, while my friends grabbed a bruscetta and some cheese toasties. One complaint I had was that the salad bar didn't have much of a selection, which was a little disappointing.

Awful night. Terrible service and worse food. In addition to this, I ordered a gluten free cake (as I have a gluten allergy) and was reassured by two different staff that it was gluten free. After eating it, the regular cake ordered by someone else came to the table and it was the exact same cake. They had given me regular cake even after I had checked with them...when I complained the management didn't even offer a refund. Won't be returning.

worse place ever beer was merky where the lines were dirty, plates came out dirty and wait staff ignored us at one end of table when meals came out saying it was our meal so that the two piece of fish plate got placed in front of the elderly hard of hearing gentlemen at the other end of the table not our sons so when finally the other plate of fish came out it only had one crumbed not the two battered the other gentlemen was now eating! management response on the fix up we had to take the one fish from the gentlemen plate he hadn't started to eat or charge him for the piece of fish then get son a fresh one as if we going to let them charge elder pensioner for another piece of fish so had to just accept son having to have the fish that had been on someone else plate that they eating off .. the steak was dry and chewy well done not medium rare the diane sauce was sweet and only about three peppers in it for a pub that is way overpriced compared to the other local pubs in ...read more
