This is a great little pub. The staff are really friendly and helping and it is also a really quiet place to have a couple of drinks. The prices aren't all that bad either. I visited this place the first night that I arrived in Sydney (as I am prone to do after a plane flight and as soon as I walked in through the door I was greeted by one of the friendliest security guards that I have ever met. In fact unlike most of them he was more than happy to have a banter with customers as they were entering and leaving, or simply up for a chat. The bartender even dipped into her tip jar to make up for the shortfall in my beer. This is a pub that I would highly recommend visiting. Oh, I should also mention that I quite like the old photos on the wall.
Not to be confused with the other Crown Hotel at the neighbouring suburb of Surry Hills (which also happens to be a corner pub), the bistro at Crown Hotel at Sydney CBD is one that boasts its less crowded atmosphere in its area.

had lunch there today with work colleagues and was glad to find a pub bistro that wasn't overcrowded. the prices are cheap, the food is fair/good and the decor is a nice surprise. as long as you don't expect fine dining you should be pleasantly surprised. i'd go again.
Visited this place twice. First time, food was OK but very slow to arrive.
Second time, food was very slow to arrive and it was obvious that the fish had been pre-cooked (partially), frozen and then microwaved before serving. Waitstaff also had a bit of atitude. Not recommended...
