Croydon Camera House

Croydon Camera house are unprofessional and their casual untrained child labour are unhelpful, unable to undertake simple addition. It appears that both stores lack any form of experienced manager and in fact the selfie set are more interested in there weekend plans or discsusing the one just gone. I obtained a quote for a product elsewhere and wanted to know if they could match it. No one could make a decision and I was promised a email follow up. Eventually I recieved a quote. Very good deal. A thousand dollars less. Unfortunately the sender couldn't add up and was a thousand dollars short in the items listed. When I took the matter up with another distacted casual he was dismissive and more interested in returning to his chatting with the other female assistant. Don't wast you time on this outlet unless you love frustration and uninformed bad service.

This is not the best place to go to for a bargain. However, the staff are very well educated on the prouducts and very friendly. If you aren't dead set on getting the cheapest price but are dead set on getting the best service, then Croydon Camera House is the place to go. #reviewtowin

I bought an expensive camera from this lot about 7 years ago ( a nikon DSLR worth about $2000 as a kit with lens) only to find it was a dud: very poor image quality(my $300 canon Gshot also bought from here had took pictures which were much sharper and vivid). Showed this to staff who agreed . They took the camera and tested it and again agreed that photo quality was poor. They sent camera and lens to nikon for testing and it was returned with "camera functions within acceptable limits" ( whatever that means). The 2 staff I had dealt with were nice and we're honest . Now enter the management who was polite but very unhelpful with my predicament. They shrugged their shoulders when I pointed out that their own staff members agreed with me. Hitherto I had spent probably close to $10,000 at this store over a period of a few years and felt I deserved some loyalty . No chance. I left quietly in abject disgust and vowed never to return! I also searched around for a great price on a camera like L4dy and also ended up buying the camera from Croydon Camera House as they offered the best price. The staff knew what they were talking about and gave a quick tutorial on how to use the basic functions on the camera. Would defiantly suggest checking the prices at Croydon Camera House before buying somewhere else.

Visited Croydon Camera House to buy a wide angle lens with my daughter who was interested in a new camera. The staff member who served us could not have been more rude. Much too busy looking down their nose to make a sale. So much for trying to support small business. I will stick to the other store. Don't understand why people work in a store if they don't like doing customer service.
