Watch out! We hired a camper for 10 days. We returned the vehicle and they found very minor damage which we are certain we did not do. They kept our 5,000 dollar deposit for three weeks. They did not return phone calls, would not explain what was going on. Always someone “new” to the company who could ]not tell us what was going on. The vehicle was continuously let so that it was not in the depot for them to do a damage assessment! A lot of stress and upset ??. Absolutely spoiled our holiday. In the end they charged us about 300 dollars for the damage.

My husband and I have had an extremely bad experience with a company called Cruisin Motorhomes Pty Ltd when hiring the RV we used on our honeymoon. Despite purchasing the ironically named Hassle Free insurance package at the rate of $48.00 per day, with a limited liability of $300.00 in the event of damage to the rented vehicle (through no fault of our own) the company has debited $1,115.00 to my Credit Card (without even calling me to tell me until 24 hours after the debit). This was because the annex we erected (strictly in accordance with the instructions) collapsed when two plastic holders supporting it snapped. Cruisin allege that itâ??s not covered by the insurance policy because it constitutes overhead damage. However the definition of overhead damage pursuant to the rental agreement is damage caused by contact with any object, structure or obstruction.
