Comfortable, self-contained accommodation at stunning Vivonne Bay. 2 minutes walk to the beach. Great location for swimming, surfing, snorkeling & fishing. Beautiful spot to relax.

Currawong Cottage is nestled in the dunes, adjacent to the coastal reserve. It has its own track, winding through the scrub to the beach. You can hear the sounds of the ocean from every room.The cabin comprises a large living area (with sofa bed), modern, well equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a double bed and trundle, the other with a queen-sized bed), ensuite and ante-room (with day bed). Folding stetchers are available on request for extra sleeping space. The main bathroom has an old fashioned bathtub, with shower.
There are extensive verandahs and decks with a gas barbeque and outdoor dining areas. You can catch the morning sun or settle down with a book and an apple in the afternoon (after wearing the kids out on the beach.) A lovely rustic feel, with all the comforts of home. Vivonne Bay has everything for the beach lover. Situated on the mid-south coast, it offers both seclusion and proximity to the many attractions of the central and western end of the island. These include Flinder's Chase Conservation Park, Remarkable Rocks, Admiral's Arch, Kelly Hill Caves, Seal Bay and the Little Sahara. Vivonne Bay, which has been voted Australia's best beach in a survey conducted by Sydney University, offers safe swimming, snorkelling, surfing, and fishing. Nestled between Vivonne Bay and Seal Bay Conservation Parks, it is a bushwalker's or birdwatcher's paradise. The lovely sandy-bottomed Harriet River is a safe spot for a cool off, a paddle and a splash for children. Canoes can be hired locally if you wish to explore further upstream. Seals and dolphins are regular visitors to the bay, penguins can be seen near the jetty and in winter, you my be lucky enough to see a whale. Wallabies, possums, echidnas and heath goannas may be seen in the coastal reserve and around the beach houses.
