Cut Price Car Rentals - Brisbane Airport

This was the second time I had rented from CutPrice Cars. My flight was late in this time and they stayed back for me. We didn’t get in till 11:15 and we had a long ride ahead of us so I was very grateful they did this. The gentleman that served us was very patient and didn’t seem to mind that he had to stay back, wanted the overtime I guess. Anyway he got us on our way quickly. The Imax was what we had booked and was fine, I drive one at home so I knew what I was getting. Having had a good experience on both occasion I am happy to recommend these guys. Just note when you book your car make sure to confirm the year cos they do hire new and older.

Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Misleading advertising about the actual price and premium. Got to the airport, got off the plane, phoned them and found out I had to wait a hour for them to pick me up. Was first I knew they weren't located at the airport. The guy who picked me up complained about the company and asked if I really wanted to go with them. Eventually we arrived at their location, middle of nowhere. He pointed to the car, which looked ancient. Went inside and sat down. At the end of the conversation he said he was going to put $4000 block on my card. I only have a $2000 limit. I asked what he meant, given I was buying insurance, and he said that's their policy. At this point, I laughed, and left. Caught a cab back to the airport and went to Avis. Pre austorisations of $1000 when you already agreed and paid the daily premium already. Then take 7-10 business days so if $1,000 is no big issue to you then fine. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. They lie about location by having a pic of Brisbane airport and they actually pick up and drop you off communal style to a depo. They talk on their phones whilst driving. They are not organised at all. The process is also an emotional drainer.

We were told over the phone that the excess for the vehicle would be $3500 which we accepted, but when we got there the guy told us that we would be liable for full price of the vehicle plus a charge for every day the car was out of action!!! This was unacceptable so we walked away and decided to use another car rental place. They wouldn't give us a refund.

The customer service of this company is shocking - The WORST I have ever experienced. They didn't respond to my complaint at all to begin with - just ignored all correspondence.
