Customer service was beyond a joke. Rude, called up asked asked all questions including fuel consumption and we were told 150km of fuel they then tried to charge us additional fuel when returned even though we did 78km he was aggressive on the phone when I queried this charge. No truck known to man uses 150km worth of fuel in 78km . Terrible place poor attitude and in professional go to hertz or another company.
The vehicles for hire are good, the terms and customer service are frightening. If you have an eversion to risk or not a very big bank balance this is not the rental operator for you.
Terms:
- excess even with top extra insurance is still $3500 for vans $8k+ for trucks for anything other than a collision with another vehicle
- clause 5.4 in their "standard" contract opens up for endless extra charges at the operators whim
- only 150km per day included, extra km charged @ $.25 p/km
Customer service:
- majority of extensive staff (8 or more) scarfing off watching videos
- staff get upset when deem to read the conditions of the contract before signing making comments like: "This is how business is done, don't you know howe business is done?", "this is the first time anyone has had a problem with our contract conditions", "oh boy, here we go", "it's not your right to request changes to our contract".
I booked a certain vehicle for an important job. This was the second time I dealt with this company and had issues.
The vehicle I booked was only available later than the booking. Is the company going to pay for all the labarors waiting around??
I am really disappointed. Luckily the big players in town where able to provide the right truck.
I would not recommend this business to anyone.
