I used one of their 6cu.m. skips for removal of renovation materials. My two week hire charge was more than doubled once they weighed it.
This skip has weight allowance of only 900kg. Completely ludicrous for a skip of that size. Even if I'd filled it with dry light pine, it would be almost triple that! Add some rubble and you're looking at an arm and a leg.
I understand now how they can charge so little up front.
Yes. It is in the contract fine print, but I'm not an experienced builder. I'm just an average DIYer who expected the allowances would be fair, in relation to the skip sizes.
Very unprofessional unreliable and beyond rude! Staff really need either a career change or a serious change in the way they deal with customers attitude wise. Also a little business tip - if you want customers to do things a certain way it's probably best to provide this to them and have your terms available on your website, second tip if you want to be condescending, argumentative and unprofessional your probably not going to be in business very long! As someone who worked in a customer based role I can tell you that your staff are doing everything wrong in the customer service department I'm glad to not be wasting our money further on your so called professional business !!
I ordered a large skip bin to get rid of the gaden waste and general junk. Later Cut Price Skip Bins phone me and demand another $500 up front before they take it away because they say I wasn't supposed to put mixed waste in the bin. I think there was a mix up in communication with Cut Price Skip Bins, so I try and negotiate as I think paying another $500 (more than the bin cost in the first place) is unreasonable. I offer to follow them to the tip and pay any extra charges for the trash, but all I get is rudeness. I say give me back the money I already paid. Then Cut Price Skip Bins say they now have to deduct "transport" costs from my original payment. I ask how much and when will they come to get the bin, but all I get is more rudeness. I will never use them again and never recommend them to anyone else.
Cancelled my service and paid my final account because I was moving house, yet they delivered a new one anyway! When I phoned them to ask them why, they claimed they were waiting for 'final dates'. What a load of rubbish! My word against theirs.. they were very quick to take my money yet wouldn't collect the empty pack. If it gets stolen from an empty house it won't be my problem! Extremely rude customer service. I'd look elsewhere.
