Fabulous place. Everything you'd want in an 'Epicurean delicatessen'. Was greeted immediately by the helpful staff who happened to talk me into more than what I was originally there for, and that's a massive 'thumbs-up' as that is how stuff gets sold. The German 'black-pudding' is to die for, and they do a wonderful 'house-Braun' with a generous chili/paprika kick that is well worth a souvenir. Could not recommend this place enough for both produce and service...
Cyril's Fine Foods is a great little gourmet delicatessen offering a huge selection of authentic European delicacies from the origins of Russia, Croatia, Poland, Czech and much more. For a small shop you will be pleasantly surprised at the variety of chocolates, cold meats, antipastos, cheeses, sauces and packets that you won't ordinarily find. The owner Cyril welcomes you always with a friendly smile and is on hand to offer help if you are stumped for choice. The prices are quite a bit higher as you are paying for gourmet delicacies but well worth for a special treat. Right across the road from Capital Theatre and in close proximity to the CBD district - take a walk down at lunch and give it a try. :)
Cute little deli for Russian, Polish, Czech and other European delicacies. Staff are very happy to help and recommend if your knowledge of Russian cuisine doesn't extend beyond vodka and borscht. Pick up frozen pelmeni, caviar, smoked fish and all manner of cheeses. Not the cheapest place to shop so save your money.
