The family backing the name originated in Sri Lanka and immigrated to Italy. Eventually growing our culinary arts roots, very first setting up inside Lilydale in 2004 prior to relocating to Croydon South in '06.
Restaurant owners Richard & Beatrice, along with their children have grown together to take to Croydon a restaurant that is a wholesome combination of warm and friendly service, good value and home-style meals from all over the world.
We are a place for all those special get-togethers whether itâ??s to start dating for two or even a group get toghether, Da Ricardoâ??s will invariably try our very best for you to cater for the expected needs.

Da Ricardo's is a great International, family run restaurant. The service is great and the chef, Richard, will without fail come and have a chat about your meal at some stage. The staff genuinely love good food and service at affordable prices. For young families on a budget who like good food and/or are teaching their kids about good food, this is the place to go! #reviewtowin
I have been here a few times for family birthdays, and although it is nothing special, I can't really fault it too much either. There is not a lot of choice on the menu compared to what you would usually expect from an Italian restaurant, but their prices are very cheap. Good for when you are just after a basic dinner out with friends/family.
A great restaurant gone bad after the change of management. We have ordered from this establishment regularly (weekly) over the last 2 years, however, the food is no longer cooked properly (a rare steak is rare, a medium steak is rare) and they defend their bleeding 'medium' steaks by telling us we don't know what we're talking about (even though I worked in a commercial kitchen for a few years) and rather than being offered any kind of apology we are told to "Just get out if you're going to be like that" when we complained about the meals! (We did, however, get a refund) This is the 6th time we have received undercooked steaks and the first we have complained - and, as a consequence of this appalling service and the blatant arrogance and rudeness we will NEVER eat here again! Eaters Beware!
You must be mistaken, management has never changed, the same people own it since the day they opened in Lilydale in 2003
