Dachshund Coffee
I can't fault this place! In a city awash with avocado on sourdough, you have to offer me something a bit different to tempt me, and this place sure does ! Ok, so it was avocado and it was smashed and it was on sourdough bread, but there was so much more ! The topping also had quinoa and tomato and greens and a poached egg, it was so fresh and filling, i didn't need lunch. All washed down with both a tea and a coffee (latte) which were both brewed to perfection. Great spot.
Dachshund Coffee comes to Hunter Hill with coffee nous honed in some of the best cafes in Sydney. A friendly service crew brew up quality coffees. The latte was smooth, and the cold brewed milk Mocha with Mork chocolate is particularly divine. On the food front, look out for Miss Piggy. If there's only reason to head out to well heeled Hunters Hill, this dish is it. Steeped in a master stock for 12 hours and partnered with Shimeji mushrooms and kohlrabi, a conveyor belt motion from plate to mouth will quickly develop as every last morsel is polished off.
A popular coffee and brunch spot for locals - the young and capable staff seemed to know several people by name. They make a solid coffee that's been reliably good on my (admittedly few) subsequent visits. Never actually eaten in but the menu looks good, though slightly pricier than usual. Tempting array of treats by the counter too.
Situated between Via Napoli and Hunters Hill Hotel this trendy little cafe is a winner.
Arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. They have tables out the front near of the shop and round the side in the arcade as well as inside. There is a large communal table or you can seat along the wall.
Staff are friendly and efficient, as soon as we sat down we got water and the menus. ...read more
