Daiso at Macquarie Centre is not as large as the other Daiso stores I have ever been in Sydney. It occupies a medium size store but the low ceiling makes it feel small and their white lights ambiance somehow feels a little less premium. It also has slightly narrower aisles with an exception of some main aisles. It feel more like a two-dollar shop than anything.
Their new changes mean that not everything is $2.80. Whilst most are still true, they now come up with new and more expensive products (such as homewares), as well as some cheaper products like confectionary items. This is somehow quite exciting but at the same time takes away the one thing that makes this store different than the rest.
The store doesn't seem to have a lot of staffs, with only one at the checkout and another seen available on the floor to assist customers.
When you go shopping a big part of the thrill is discovering new products you never knew existed. This experience happens every time I step into Daiso. This Daiso store is pretty new and is part of the newly renovated Macquarie Centre. As you walk in you are welcomed by rows of Japanese made or designed products. Gadgets you never knew you needed such as face massagers. When you walk into Daiso - You realise how far $2.80 can go...
