Danny's seafood - seafood platter...
Disappointing.
Of the actual items from the sea- Nothing was fresh including the fish and calamari which I couldn't give a pass mark to I am afraid.
Unfortunately though they were the best inclusions...
The prawns were rubber and the crab sticks were tasteless.
The chips were the tastiest items on the plate, Wow I just realised how bad things are at Danny's! Shameful!
I will never go to La Parouse for seafood again... Danny's ruined it for me...
A La Perouse Institution serving fresh seafood for many years, Danny’s Seafood Restaurant. There’s a Danny’s casual seafood kiosk but we went to the upstairs restaurant.
We were greeted by the waiter Yusuf who has worked at Danny’s for 25 years, he just loves it there he tells us. He was a great host with very attentive service and he helped us with our menu selection. We ordered a nice bottle of white and he filled us up when empty, kept checking on how things were – top service.

I have been told this place has been here for years! So i only got my first visit on Saturday. This place has a lot of character and reminds me of an RSL for some reason.
We started with the oysters 3 way (natural, mornay, kilpatrick) and the prawn cocktail, presentation was really nice for the prawn. Then for mains we had the lobster mornay, a whole snapper and the grain fed eye fillet. All tasty dishes.
Then for some dessert we had the creme caramel, vanilla and lime creme brulee, chocolate mousse and the malteser cheesecake. My favourite was the brulee of course :)
Staff were friendly. I believe Joe and one of the other guys have been there for years now!
