I rented a car from Dave's cars at time of rent a $500 bond for fines was put on bank card in case of fines for 5 work day today the money that was on bond on card end but the money left my acc thru the pre-auth eftpos that was the bond but it was only ment to be tacked for fines but there was no fines . I ring Dave card for help but was no help so be swear of this guy as I now see athere with same complaints the bank will send paper work so I can go to police as this is thief
These guys charged our credit card an extra $150 to cover insurance excess on the grounds that we would get it back when we returned the car safely. We returned the car without incident but they NEVER paid the money back. They also didn't answer phone calls or e-mails. These guys are CROOKS. Avoid them at all costs!
My wife & I travel in a large motorhome which is not suitable to driving around the Gold Coast, so we book into a caravan park and get a rental car for the time we are staying there. We have hired from 2 of the multi national companies on the Gold Coast but the last two times we were there which was in November 2015 and once prior to that, we hired from Daves Car Rental. They picked us up from the Caravan Park and took us to their office to collect the hire car. When we finished they delivered us back to the caravan park. I also found their rates very reasonable. No other company in Australia has ever offered this sevice and we have used a lot of companies in many major towns around Australia. I would give them the highest rating possible for ease of doing business and genuine helpfulness. I will always use them in future when on the gold coast or in Brisbane.
Antastic service. Car was immediately available at the office although I didnot make booking so we reached brisbane city on time for appointment.we took the car with full comprehensive insurance .also say Nav was great help. On return member of staff drope us to pacific fair shopping centre.
