We have recently had a new split system installed and our smoke detectors replaced. David did a fabulous job. He gave good advice regarding the split system and when he and his co-worker came to complete the work, they were courteous, thorough and very tidy. I would certainly recommend David Dewhurst Electrical.
I agree with lozzle regarding the initial discussion and quality of work. However I made the mistake of not getting a fixed price quote because 'there were unknowns in the job'. Price came in at a third more than the estimate, and there was no complexity encountered. Not a good experience.
David did some electrical work for me about 2 years ago, installing 2 split system airconditioners, and he was fantastic! He took plenty of time during the initial visit to find out what my needs were & to recommend a suitable unit. He treated me like an intelligent human being instead of a "stupid" woman (as some tradies do), explaining his recommendations etc. When he came to install he was prompt, courteous and just went about his business without any fuss. He even cleaned up after himself, asking for the vacuum cleaner & organising for the boxes to be taken away to be recycled. It's very difficult to find reliable tradies so I'm glad that I've found David & I will continue to use him in the future.
