We booked Dave 6 years ago when we bought our house and couldn't get the oven working - he came out and gave us a lesson on how to use our oven! There was nothing wrong with it that a few clues didn't sort out - then he didn't charge us. I kept his number because I was bowled over by his integrity and generosity. 6 years later said oven actaully did stop working - called him and out he came, exactly on time, fixed it there and then with a new element and was very fair with his pricing. He even threw in a couple more oven lessons :o)

Very unimpressed with this company after booking in for an oven repair and no one turning up within the time slot allocated. When I rang to ask why, I was told I never had a booking in the first place.
I stuffed-up folks :( First time in over four years. Apologised and offered a weekend or after-hours appointment but the customer said that she "will look elsewhere."
Let this be a lesson to all small business owners out there - you are not permitted to ever make any mistakes. Mistakes manifest in 1-star reviews, despite any solutions you offer to rectify the issue.

I have been very impressed by DBHL and the excellent and professional service given by Dave. He called ahead to say when he would arrive. He was understanding when I gave him the incorrect identity of the oven and as a result he had to come back a second time with the correct part. The cost was reasonable. The part actually gave up a month later and he returned immediately to correct the fault - the manufacturer's. He also patiently showed me how to take the oven door off to clean the glass. That was easy but getting the door back again was a nightmare for me so he came again to show me how and it took him 30 seconds. Very fine service and no charge for his time or travelling for the 3 extra visits. Highly recommended. Very pleased and satisfied. Many thanks!
After calling another service person, who told me I only needed to replace a grill element on my Smeg Oven, I called DBHL. Dave arrived punctually, calling me to update me on the time of his arrival before he came. He immediately recognised the fault as a major wiring problem, which could have caused a fire. Service was excellent, affordable and professional. I will use DBHL for any oven or stove repairs in the future.
