De Costi Sea Foods

I was at Macquarie centre for the post Xmas sales, and decided to get lunch, it had been a while since I'd eaten fish and chips, and so I chose this place for lunch, very happy. Crisp and hot battered fish and chips was better than expected. I also purchased some barramundi fillets to take home and cook for the rest of the family, they were fresh as a can be and firm, again, very happy.

Costi's Fishmarket at Macquarie Centre is a quite large seafood shop complete with its modern fit-out. Despite being large, the bulk of the area is behind the counter, leaving customers either standing out of the shop whilst picking up their seafood.

They have a decent range of seafood and the service is also good, but I find the produce at the seafood shop in Top Ryde Shopping Centre fresher and better. If I was doing groceries in Macquarie Centre, I would purchase from them, but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here for seafood.

The produce here is always really fresh, and the staff helpful. Be sure to ask for suggestions!
