Deeks Bakery & Cafe

It was a sunny March day and we sat outside under an umbrella. Very pleasant - or so we thought. The positive experience ended there. The menu was limited and my first choice of french toast wasn't available. So 3 of us settled for beef pies and salad. For a bakery which prides itself on fresh organic ingredients they were very disappointing. The pies had been microwaved (a no no for a good bakery)and were soggy, tastless and very greasy. The salad was sad. Onto some cakes -slightly better but the ricotta slice tasted of refrigerator and the caramel slice and banana cake were unremarkable. The service was reasonable but we had to clear our own table to make way for the cakes and coffee. Altogether it was an overpriced and disappointing experience. I would not recommend it.
